Definition:
Well established name of the highest part of the Niedere Tauern (Hochgolling, 2862 m) in the W of the Soelker Pass (Soelker Pass), 1788 m. The physiognomy of this high mountain range, which perfectly shows the glacial formation, consists of gneiss and mica schist of the central alpine crystalline. The southern boundary was drawn directly at the foot of the steep deforestation of the southern side ridges. (Author: Prof. Mag. Dr. Gerhard Karl LIEB)
