Passailer basin
Definition:
Well-established name for the inner-alpine basin in the catchment area of the Raab river, which is located entirely within the Graz mountain region. The gentle forms in the basin interior are built up by tertiary loose material, but partly also by Paleozoic slates. The boundary is defined by sharp slope bends in the N and SE, but only vaguely possible in the other directions.   (Author: Prof. Mag. Dr. Gerhard Karl LIEB)
